About Us

The Little Shop opened its doors in the late 1950’s as a sewing notions store in historic downtown Haddonfield and evolved into a fabric shop in the 60’s and finally into a quilt shop in the 80’s. The Little Shop has come to be known as a unique place where quilters find the best in traditional quilt fabrics, contemporary designer collections and patterns.

There is a lot of activity at The Little Shop. Classes are offered, starting with beginner, at all levels of expertise for both hand and machine quilters. Every week we host day time "Sew What" sessions, twice a month we offer Sew What on Friday evenings from 6 pm to 11 pm, and every year we sponsor a Mystery quilt weekend at a local camp. We are especially proud of the times when the staff and friends of The Little Shop have made gift quilts for patients of Deborah Hospital and for the families at the Ronald McDonald House.

What’s best about The Little Shop? We are always busy creating new quilts and kits. Customers visit not only to shop but to see the continually changing inventory of fabric and to watch what is going on in our studio/classroom. Best of all, the staff loves nothing more than to help customers chose beautiful fabric for their quilts and then see the end result when they proudly return with a finished project.

We hope you enjoy The Little Shop, and look forward to any suggestions that can enhance your shopping and quilting experience.

Happy Quilting! from, Debbie Hansen and the staff at The Little Shop
